The flourishment of a person as well as an institute depends on its overall development. NabaBarrackpur Prafulla Chandra Mahavidyalaya, near BisharparaKodalia Railway Station, North 24 Parganas, Kolkata-700131, is an educational institution whose upliftment rests not only on the present students but certainly on the students who have passed out. This is because of their heartiest financial and physical supports which sprouts from a strong emotional bonding of brother or sisterhood with the college. NabaBarrackpur Prafulla Chandra Mahavidyalaya has a registered alumni association which indebts the same in various ways. In the fields of infrastructural developments, purchasing different equipment, the members take immense initiative. They also take care to increase the enrolment of the students. In case of publishing of college magazines, social events etc., these members participate enthusiastically. Even during the days of cultural activities, their jovial presence deserves special mention.
Besides, the members of this association play vital role at times of emergencies. If there occurs any kind of misunderstanding among the current students, they often take guardianship to advise and settle the matters of conflicts. Thus, they help in maintaining peace in the college premise also. In the times of pandemic and “amphan” these members took active role so that this college could play significant role in helping people in the locality as well as provide shelter to the victims affected by “amphan”. In short, the members of alumni association always extend their helping hands towards the overall development of the college.
Furthermore, the members maintain a regular contact with the college. This shows their bonding with the college. Often they provide progressive ideas, centring on the enrichment and enhancement of the college. Even, in order to raise funds for the college they visit the local councillor, municipality office and other sources.
Thus, it is patent as daylight that in spite of leaving the college officially or technically, as it is apparently observed, these members could never bid adieu to their college from their hearts, and it is therefore, because of their care, along with other helps and factors, NabaBarrackpur Prafulla Chandra Mahavidyalaya is moving forward with every sunshine.
