The institution encourages and motivates its students to participate in extracurricular activities like sports and various cultural exercises. The total development of the human personality requires equal attention to the physical as well as intellectual faculties. Every year the sports committee of the college organizes annual sports for both the students as well as the teachers. The students of the college also participate in the inter school indoor and outdoor sports competitions organised by WBSU. In last few years the students of this college have performed excellently both in indoor and outdoor events.

The college organizes various cultural programmes and the students as well as teachers are actively involved in all these activities. Teachers and students jointly organize and celebrate cultural events like Freshers' Welcome, Basanto Utsav, Teachers' Day Celebrations, Rabindra Jayanti, Matri Bhasha Dibas etc. The cultural committee of the college regularly organizes intra-college cultural competitions and the successful students are offered prizes. The college also organizes inter school cultural competition every year as a part of its extension activities. Many neighbouring schools participate in these competitions.
