Students from different disciplines or students belonging to scheduled castes and Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Minority Communities are entitled to various Govt. scholarship schemes such as –Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship (for students securing 60% marks in HS exam and having annual family income not more than Rs. 2.5 lac), Kanyashree Prakalpa (mainly for girls students pursuing higher studies), OASIS (for SC, ST & OBC students securing 50% marks in HS exam), Aikyashree Scholarship (for students from Minority communities securing 50% marks in HS Exam and having annual family income not more than Rs. 2 lac ) and Nabanna Scholarship (for meritorious students passing Madhyamik examination or Higher Secondary examination or UG and PG level examination). For all these except the Nabanna Scholarship there are online portals, which always remain open. After taking admission in the UG course, the students are informed and notified by the college about different Govt. Scholarship schemes and, often, orientation programme about different scholarship schemes is organized by the Students Welfare Sub-committee of the college. Students have to properly fill in prescribed forms and submit them to the concerned Govt. Authority after verification by the college authority. In the case of the Nabanna Scholarship students have to fill in the prescribed form in offline mode and get verified it by the college authority before submitting it to the concerned Govt. authority. The Nabanna Scholarship is given to the students every year under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. It may be mentioned that students can apply for only one scholarship scheme and cannot apply for multiple scholarship schemes at a time. However, Students receiving grants from Kanyashree Prakalpa may also apply for any other scholarship scheme provided they fulfill the required criteria.
